Shannon & Dan were married on what they thought would be a beautiful fall day, it was still a beautiful but there was a lot more winter than expected. Six months later, there is still snow on the ground and I am FINALLY sharing this wedding. On Thanksgiving  weekend, you’d think it would be at least a bit warm with beautiful fall leaves, but we got a beautiful fluffy snowfall. We were determined to do photos outside even in the snow, so we went to the UofA where we could easily move back and forth, then to Emily Murphy park where we hid under an over pass. It was still cold though, I couldn’t control that, but their whole group was amazing with dealing with the cold, snowy weather. We then went to the Meridian Banquet Hall where Shannon & Dan’s family and friends made some of the most tear jerking speeches I have heard, and they also had an airplane throwing/building contest to see who would eat dinner first (how fun is that?!)  Here’s the story of Shannon & Dan’s wedding!

Sometimes things don’t always go as planned for weddings, this day we expected beautiful fall weather and instead we ended up with the perfect winter wedding. This group embraced it like no other though – they were troopers. And Kristen despite being freezing still managed to look absolutely beautiful, she was seriously the picture perfect bride! This day was full of magical little details, an amazingly fun bridal party and a whole lot of love.

Catherine & Joel were married on a perfect summer day. Their day was full of so many unique touches and tributes to them as a couple. A few of my favourite parts were when they were sang into their ceremony by members of the choir Joel is in, the ceremony was completed by a relative so they were able to throw so many unique parts in including the reading of an adorable poem that may have brought me to tears. Catherine & Joel as a couple are super adventures, relaxed and just the sweetest and it was so amazing to see how their day was all that and more. Thank you Catherine & Joel for including me in your magical day.

After Katie & Dylan’s AMAZING fall engagement shoot, I knew their wedding was going to be perfect. These two are seriously just so fun and Katie has a smile that lights up any room. We started off the day getting ready at Katie’s parents house, girls were upstairs mean while the boys were outside patiently waiting. Katie & Dylan completed an adorable first look and then we headed off for some photos. Were were able to ward off the rain thankfully, I think it was due to all the laughter off this super fun group. Katie & Dylan had both their ceremony and reception at Festival Place which turned out absolutely perfect with all their diy projects. Thank you Katie & Dylan for having such a super fun and relaxed day, oh and for being completely adorable!
